Irish music workshops

– For flute, tin whistle and low whistle

Flute workshops Irish music by Ies Muller at Neflac summerschool 2016

I teach workshops for flute, tin whistle and low whistle for all levels. These workshops can be a first introduction to these instruments, or an opportunity to look deeper into ornamentation, rythm, repertoire…

– For all instruments

I teach Irish music workshops to players of all kinds of instruments. Just starting or more advanced, for every group I deliver a fitting workshop. For students of music schools an introduction to Irish music has often been very inspiring. Players of Irish music were happy to learn new tunes and techniques.

A laudatory reaction to an Irish music workshop:

The Irish music workshop at the Dutch Flute Academy was a great success. We received very positive reactions from all participants (between 13 and 30 years of age) in our feedback. It was a fantastic mix of learning about the background of this music, getting to know, see and hear the instruments, and playing (together) and learning to ornament beautiful, relatively simple Irish melodies. And finally a brilliant, fascinating concert… We could not keep our feet still!! Highly recommendend!
